
Kerry Bacheller, Artistic Director & Choreographer
Kerry is an honors graduate of Rivier College and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Law. She is a graduate of the Barbizon Modeling Agency. She has been dancing since the age of three. She received the majority of her dance training at the Alice Hanley Dance Academy and was a staff instructor there for seven years.
She is a certified member of the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Artists (NADAA), Dance Masters of America (DMA), and New Hampshire Dance Alliance (NHDA). She has taken courses in Dance at the University of Lowell, Massachusetts. She has studied the Graham and Limon Techniques of Modern Dance under the direction of Pierre Barreau, formerly of the Joffrey Ballet, Classical Ballet under the direction of Jim Franklin, and tap under the direction of Drika Overton, creator of “Clara’s Dream – a Jazz Nutcracker” and the Portsmouth Percussive Dance Festival.
Kerry periodically attends teacher’s classes at the Jeanette Neill Studio in Boston, as well as statewide seminars for continuing dance education. She has choreographed for productions of “The Wizard of Oz”, “Bugsy Malone”, “Annie” and “Guys and Dolls, Jr”. She has been the Director and Choreographer of her own dance studio in Chester, New Hampshire since September of 1988, and has been a teacher of dance for over thirty years.
Jennifer Morin
Dance Instructor/Choreographer
Jennifer received the majority of her dance training at Kerry’s Dance Center. Jennie was a staff instructor at the Studio of Dance Movement Arts, and The Studio of Dance Education both in Exeter. She has competed throughout New England with the senior dance company from Steppin’ Out Dance Academy. She has also studied Classical Ballet under the direction of Jim Franklin, and Modern Dance with Amanda Schiller of “Center Stage” fame.
Jennie continues her dance education through seminars and workshops throughout New England. The most recent workshops were at the Portsmouth Percussive Dance Festival where she danced with tap legend Brenda Buffalino, studied Middle Eastern Dance with Sharon Arslanian, and African Dance with Sekou & Marilyn Sylla. In July of 2006 she traveled with her dancers to the Plymouth State University Summer Dance Intensive where they performed choreography by PSU Dance Director Joan Weigers.
Jennie has even studied Hip Hop with Jimmy Locust, one of the hottest choreographers in the business. She most recently choreographed for the Island Pond Baptist Players “The Christmas Shoes” and “The Christmas Post”. Jennie helped to re-establish competitive dance teams at Kerry’s Dance Center and will be the head dance team coach for the eighth consecutive year.
She has traveled throughout New England where her dancers have performed her award winning choreography. Kerry is very pleased to have her at KDC for her 20th year!
Sarah Mosonyi, Dance Instructor
Sarah began dancing at the age of 3. Sarah received fifteen years of dance training at Kerry’s Dance Center where she attended many classes including tap, jazz, acro, ballet, pointe, modern and hip hop. Sarah also was a member of the senior dance team at Kerry’s Dance Center for two seasons. She also performed for one year with the award winning Extreme Cheer Hip Hop Dance Team. Sarah attended the Plymouth State University Winter Dance Intensive for three seasons and had the opportunity to take master dance classes with Joan Weigers, Amanda Schiller and Megan Hiltz just to name a few. She was invited to perform at the PSU Dance Premier with her team.
Sarah has traveled into Boston to continue taking master classes with Jeanette Neill. Sarah has attended the New England Region American College Dance Festival for two years where she was able to take a variety of classes from teachers including Martha Myers, Bebe Miller, Bilbob Brown, Adele Myers and Ann Ross. Sarah recently received her Dance Education Certificate from Northern Essex Community College and continues to work towards getting her Associates Degree in Dance Education. Kerry is happy to have Sarah on her staff.
Tori Bacheller, Dance Instructor
Tori graduated from Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH in 2011 with Honors, She is currently attending the University of New Hampshire in Durham pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. She plans to work as a personal trainer with a nutrition background. She has danced since the age of 2 at Kerry’s Dance Center taking tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, hip-hop, modern, and lyrical. She worked as an assistant teacher for 6 years and was a member of the KDC Senior Dance Team for 8 years. She has attended Plymouth State University’s Winter and Summer Dance Intensives since 2006. Dance Troupe International chose her to represent KDC as a Dance Ambassador and Competitions have recognized her as an Outstanding Student Choreographer. While maintaining her honors status at UNH and teaching at KDC she also works for the Derry After School Program. Recently Tori has competed in several road and obstacle races for charitable causes. She is training now for the July Miss Fitness Competition. She has done modeling commercially for costume catalogs and Macy’s. She is very excited to be back in the studio working with the kids.
Lena DeCosta
Dance Instructor
Lena is thrilled to start another year of teaching at KDC! Lena is a Graduate of Tabernacle Christian School in Litchfield, NH where she consistently maintained high honors for 7 years. She was a student at KDC for over 15 years where she attended many classes including tap, jazz acro, ballet, pointe, modern and hip hop. She has also been an assistant teacher for the last 6 years. She was a member of the KDC Dance Team for 8 years and a Student Choreography winner many times over, achieving the High Score Award for her own choreography at competitions.
Dance Troupe International chose her to represent KDC as a Dance Ambassador. Lena has received Special Awards at both the Dance for Life Competition, as well as the Kaleidoscope Dance Competition. She has attended many winter seminars at Plymouth State University as well as the PSU week long Summer Dance Intensive. Lena is attending Northern Essex Community College to work towards getting her Associates Degree in Dance Education. She also plans to pursue her love of art and photography. Not only do her artistic talents shine in dance, but also on the front of the KDC t-shirts! We welcome Lena!
