Hi Dancers! Here is the first of your monthly notices. Welcome to year #21 for KDC. Wow! First I want to tell you how proud I am of all of you! The recital was great because of all your hard work - you put on a very entertaining show. I trust you all had an enjoyable summer. Mine went too quickly! But ready or not - here we go! Miss Jennie, Miss Katie and I are all looking forward to another fabulous dance season. Our theme for the June 2009 recitals will be "It Was All A Dream". The noon recital DVDs have started to arrive at your houses. The 4:30pm recital DVDs will follow shortly. Mike apologizes for the delay. First his editing machine was in the shop for over 2 weeks, then the show was longer than anticipated. That meant he had more editing, had to order more disks and wait for the order of special 2 disk cases to come in. He was kind enough not to pass along the extra costs to us. I have been told that the DVDs are "well worth the wait" because they are "Incredible"! I can't wait to watch mine. Thank you so much for your patience while we adjust the schedule and move some of the students around. We just want everyone to be in an age and level appropriate class that they are happy about attending. Afterall, if we aren't all having fun then we're doing something wrong! Please call or e-mail me with any concerns or questions. A gentleman was kind enough to bring a pink zippered case to the studio. He found it in the road on Rte 121A and knew of the studio. It is full CDs. Please see me if this belongs to you. All the students are welcome to have a snack in the waiting areas if they take 2 or more dance classes per night. However, due to the fact that more and more of our students have a peanut allergy I am asking that all students refrain from bringing any snacks to the studio that contain peanuts. Thank you so much! Attention Dance Team Members! We are considering 2 of these 3 competitions and I wanted to give you as much notice as possible. All are at Pinkerton Academy in Derry! They are: March 7 Omega; March 28 & 29 Sophisticated; and April 4 & 5 DTI. Please mark your calendars now and reserve these dates to be with your team. I will keep you posted. Please be aware that KDC does NOT close for ALL Monday Holidays. Nor do we close for Teacher workshops or early release days. Congratulations to our newest ELITE SPLIT CLUB member - Ally DeCloux. Any student who has perfected all 3 splits will have their picture taken for the Elite Split poster, will have their name in the dance notice, and will receive a certificate of recognition. So keep stretching at home and practice those splits! To encourage the students, we will have split contests in classes and take pictures of any student who can do 2 of their 3 splits for the Split Club. Our Seniors this year are Megan Busta, Haley Mayne, Morgan Lingar, Leah Tustin, Nicole Cuerdon, Casey McCartney, Cayley Lord, Brianna Perley, and Andrea Karpinski. Please let me know if you are graduating this year and are not on this list. I invite all these students to take part in the Goodbye :-( Dedication Dance in June. Each month we will choose three Dancers of the Month. They are chosen based on attendance, effort and enthusiasm. Congratulations to Jasmine Georgoudis, Lexi Hubley, and Annabel Veale. You can see their pictures on the studio bulletin boards. Nice job ladies! Please put your child's name in ALL dance shoes. You pay a lot of money for those dance shoes and unfortunately they all look alike! Help me keep track of your shoes and use a marker to write your names inside them. Thanks! Would you all be kind enough to write your child's first and last name in the memo on your check to help insure that it is credited to the correct account. Thank you. Please be advised that the Thursday Jazz class for ages 15+ will perform in Shows 1 AND 2. This was not on the original schedule. ntil next month dance like no one is watching!
