Hi Dancers! I hope all your visiting friends had fun! I can't believe this is our last notice for the season. It has been so wonderful dancing with all of you this season. I consider myself fortunate to have such a great group of kids here. The end of the season is always bittersweet. We have 3 seniors leaving this year and 1 of them is my daughter! Alex is off to UVM. Ouch! Kelsey is joining the Navy and Amber is pusuing a career as a pharmacist! Break a leg my studio daughters! Keep those registrations forms for next year coming - its first come first served so if you have a preference. . You should all have received your rehearsal schedule including your specific times and dressing room assignment. Please visit Kerrysdancecenter.com if you need to check on any of this information. You can also find a video order form and next season's schedule along with a registration form and summer camp/class information. Let me know if you have any questions. Photos are being delivered this Thursday and will be sent home with the students by next week. I can't wait to see them all. Recital tickets went on sale Saturday. There are plenty of tickets left and there is no limit. They will also be available at the door the day of recitals. Adults $15, children under 12 $9. We can't sell the tickets DURING classes, but you can fill out a ticket request form and leave a check. We'll fill the order with the next best available and give the tickets to your child at their next class. Remember to include special instructions (wheelchair, aisle seat, etc.). 20th Anniversary Recital Shirts are on sale - (20? Yikes!) Adults are $11 kids are $10. They make great gifts (hint hint) and last longer than flowers! The rehearsals and recitals are at Pinkerton Academy, Stockbridge Theatre in the Arts & Humanities Building on Pinkerton Street in Derry. If you need directions, please visit pinkertonacademy.net or ask me. Please go to the right of the building and enter through the side entrance marked with a fluorescent sign "KDC dancers enter here". Go down the stairs and the dressing area is on your right. The day of the shows please drop the dancers in the same place and then enter at the front of the building. Parents of the young dancers can stay with their child during rehearsal, even onto the side of the stage if they are nervous. (Moms only in the dressing room - Dads in hallway please). You are welcome to do the same the day of the show but should run out front to see them from there if you can. When they finish dancing at rehearsal you can take them home. At recital, you can take them to the audience to sit on your lap and watch if you'd like. They love it! However, please move about only BETWEEN numbers and not during. Remember all the parents are there to see their child. No flash photos or videos please. Thank you so much for all the volunteers sending goodies or drinks to the concession stand on recital day. The proceeds benefit the dance teams. This year they raised $250 (with a match from KDC of $250) for a charity of their choice. So thanks for the support you give them. This Saturday is the team community performance at Brentwood Nursing Home. Congratulations to the latest member of our Split Club - Destinee Kneeland! And congrats to our June Dancers of the Month - Carissa Snow, Emily Saad, & Kathleen Smillie. Nice work ladies! Any students interested in assisting a dance class next season should ask for an application. Please return these to me by June 16 - our last day of dance. Also, all summer class registrations are due by the last day of dance with payment. If we do not have enough interest in the classes, I need to let the guest teachers know this well in advance. Thanks! As always, contact me with any concerns or questions. And remember to dance like no one is watching! Until next season . . . . . Kerry Important Dates to Remember
